Marshlands Inn Is one of Canada’s best known Country inns. This pre confederation home was built in 1854 by the Honourable William Crane as a Wedding Gift for his daughter,

In 1895 it was purchased by the Read Family, owner of numerous stone quarries the produced cut stones for many Sackville building. The Reads called their new home The Marshlands and later converted it to an inn.
